Full-Time Vegetable Consultant Opening

Rupp Seeds has an opening for a full-time Vegetable Sales Consultant in the Ohio and Kentucky region.
 
The Vegetable Sales Consultant is often our primary connection with a grower, before and after the sale. He/she is responsible for representing Rupp Seeds and promoting our products as a professional sales representative, assuming responsibility for the effective performance of territory sales functions.
 
 
To be successful in this position, the Vegetable Sales Consultant must:
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with customers so that marketing and sales goals can be achieved.
  • Make service and support a priority to achieve sustained success and growth over the long term.
  • Have a working knowledge of vegetable production, crop management practices and products.
  • Direct pre-commercial trialing and introduction of new products and obtain results of product performance and suitability to grower needs.
  • Plan and manage time effectively, keeping records about customer operations, sales opportunities and customer contacts.
 
Skills & Experience Required
  • Three years’ experience in ag-related sales. Seed sales experience is preferred.
  • Previous crop farming or other agronomy experience.
  • Experience with use of Windows PCs, Microsoft Office and other Windows-based software, smart phone and mobile apps.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
